Incredible campaign, no religious trauma here…
I had a cleric assassin DND chari who served a deity of justice. The collaborative world building for this was amazing, and I effectively ended up writing her “bible” for the campaign. The linchpin was something we called the “Contract of Violence” If you knowingly commit or direct violence/ harm, in any form, you have declared that as your way of life, and therefore invite it in kind. Just thinking about that a lot. No reason.
