Ah the refreshing world of burlesque! Dita Von Teese’s Nocturnelle was such fun last night. & the crowd at the London Palladium was well dressed for it, too. Lots of suited men & glad ragged women. I must make more of an effort next time 🧐.

Rewatched Young Frankenstein. A beautifully shot love letter to the black & white monster movies of early Hollywood. The acting is perfect with one of my favourite (randomly placed) song & dance numbers. Highly recommended but good luck finding anywhere to stream it.

Rewatched Young Frankenstein. A beautifully shot love letter to the black & white monster movies of early Hollywood. The acting is perfect with one of my favourite (randomly placed) song & dance numbers. Highly recommended but good luck finding anywhere to stream it.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is a fantastic film. Go and see it. It’s violent, deranged and often hilarious, with incredible performances.
Horror, more than other genres it seems, often takes risks with the audience. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes not. This one definitely does, for me.

#Censor (2021) is a really fun, claustrophobic, British #horror movie that harks back to the “Video Nasty” period of the 1980s.
We follow Enid - a film censor who watches all sorts of depraved films for a living - as she descends into a disassociated psychosis.
