I made a lofted bed, and the space underneath is a *perfect* lil cozy crafting space. Everyone should have such a thing.

(and to be clear, I don't hold those companies/services *solely* responsible, either)

I'm not trying to split hairs, but thinking of it as "inevitable" I feel, removes some degree of accountability and responsibility on those who still make that decision, you know.
October 29, 2025 at 4:35 PM
I also get why and how there are such economic pressures to do so, but still, each and everyone of them decided it was a good idea. It wasn't inevitable, so much as a amss cascade of disregard or dismissal of the consequences.

lol, fair: I don't mean to use "they" so conspiracy theorist like. What I mean is that it's only inevitable because those who decide to bring such a "tool" to market decide that it's okay to bring such a tool to market.

I get that that's a very vast swathe of companies and services

I dont mean then specifically, I mean they in a more general sense
October 29, 2025 at 4:14 PM
it's only "inevitable" because they have chosen for it to be.

to be fair, I completely eyeballed mine, so at least yours is accurate to *some* kind of reference :P

unless you want to boolean on a bunch of spheres and boxes onto it, there's no mechanism to iterate on, refine, or humanize the generated model.... this is *specifically designed* to be a slop generator...
October 22, 2025 at 3:45 AM
here's the thing: Lychee is a *slicer* - not modelling software, not CAD software... Even if one can stomach using generative AI to create models as part of an artistic workflow (which, I personally can't)...
