I've never had a job doing something that I want to do. there was a brief part time stint as a librarian that I had from 17 to 19 that came closest to being enjoyable work, but I went to college to study communication theory, English and literature analysis and never ended up in that field

relatively, the music is completely different tho and the added jokes are just non-stop in series 01 and 02 which usually changes the intended mood of scenes. they toned it down for Tamers and keep it more in line with the tone of the Japanese series, which makes it easily the best English series

it's been fun revisiting it. tho I'm going to have to revisit the Japanese versions after Tamers. the American one is fun for memes but the constant gags are painful

I still need to watch Frontier, I dropped off after Tamers. I picked this one because we're currently watching Tamers and Doug has not seen the final evolution type yet which I expect it will be a treat for him once we get to it lol

that said, I think it's better that kids watch Bluey than either of those shows and I do think kids genuinely enjoy it, but I do bet if they had free reign of the streaming app, they would mostly land on other cartoons and Bluey would not have had 50 billion minutes watched in 2024

because Bluey plot lines so heavily focus on the parents I think most kids, if given complete freedom to pick what they want, would probably pick something that feels like brain rot to adults aka Super Kitties or that new Spider-Man cartoon, which do not consider adults watching at all

which is something Pixar does with its films too. less successfully, in my opinion tho. those Pixar movies are definitely more aimed at kids after revisiting them in my 30s. the stuff for adults there is far less striking than what Bluey offers adults
