I've ridden past that one a few times. Always with "WTF happened there" going through my head. Like, someone designed then OKd those without even a thought that it might look daft!

I remember using one of these. "Quiet" was clearly a relative term! I'm sure it had a mode called "Silent" or "Extra Quiet" or similar. Switching to that mode made it slower, but not quieter!

It was, however, insanely reliable!

Imagine posting this on "the other place" 😂 The amount of people who just call BS on it, despite almost all of them having at least one heat pump in their home all their lives, is insane!

I'm in the UK, but this applies just as much here. I felt daylight saving was pointless and antiquated 30 years ago never mind now. Just put it at +1hr so we have a bit more light in the winter evenings then leave it.

Yup. I was nearly chucked out of highschool (about 25 years ago) for managing to get access to everyone's user folders. Honestly can't remember how, or exactly what access level I managed to get, but the reason was basically "because I could"

Alcohol and energy drinks. A staple of student life 😂 combine that with motorbikes and racing mountain bikes, and I don't know how I survived past 25!!

Brexit was basically due to people wanting to blame everything on the EU, as it couldn't possibly be of their own making 🙄 Now all the bad stuff we said would happen has happened, and basically none of the good, they need something else to blame, so racism is is 🤦🏼‍♂️

I'd love to say this is being blown up by the US media or whatever, but unfortunately not. It's getting pretty bad here too!
