100%. It's not fixing the issue that people can't afford a home.

If you owe more than it's worth, then you have to come out of pocket at closing to get out of the house. Most people won't have that. Plus, if you do the math, at a certain percentage point, the interest payment is so high that you don't save anything compared to a 30 year.

Because you pay all your interest in the front half of your mortgage so you would be upside down when it's time to sell. It doesn't always appreciate faster than you can pay it down.
