The Steam Deck is popular enough for game developers to make a dedicated graphics preset for it. So the Steam Machine, provided it gets a similar amount of traction, should get the same treatment, making a new baseline for a higher performance tier for devs.

I want the new Steam Machine super badly.
Perfect for the living room, where I currently have a Steam Deck dock installed. I'd basically have the same experience that I already do now, but with a MUCH stronger device. Being able to play modern games at a higher level of quality.

I can see myself buying the new Steam Machine: very powerful, affordable, and has the comfy SteamOS. The old Steam Machines failed partly because of limited compatibility with games, but that's not really a problem anymore.
