In all seriousness though, really rad animation for 2003. Very heavy FLCL influences, as expected from Gainax.

There will probably never be another show like this one.

Being a millenial, I grew up with this show right after high school, those prime "finding yourself" years and I feel that after the 10 years between Doomstar Requiem and this only made me appreciate it so much more

Army of the doomstar though, holy shit.... After leaving us hanging on the edge of a cliff for 10 years they came back and fucking DELIVERED. It had plenty of emotion, desperation and a dash of "Zazz" that makes this show rock so fucking hard.

What a send off. Like seriously.... It was so good

Season 4 though felt kinda meh, but is really where the plot shows through. It doesn't show it much till the last act though. When things come full circle and the band ends up "under the water" yet again, like the beginning.

Doomstar Requiem made me remember how much I dig a good rock opera

Season 1 & 2 felt like we were on a wild ride without a ton of direction, but tiny bits of overall plot thrown in.

Season 3 had some of my favorite episodes, most of which I remember fondly and quote often. Plot starts picking up some speed, leaving you with questions.

The show has lots of dumb shit and over the top blood and gore, with an absolutely awesome soundtrack.

I'm not one for metal, but I LOVE the Dethklok albums. They're hard and punchy with some songs being so stupid they're good. I can't go through one of the discs without headbanging at least once

Oh and I forgot to mention, the game can randomly be interrupted by a fight breaking out amongst the teams. Leading to a button mashing contest.

Huge fan of Super High Impact. It's essentially the precursor to NFL Blitz. It's over the top and super easy to pick up and play.

Arcade and SNES version have some pretty wild "cutscenes". Genesis version is decent too, but is certainly missing some features
