Eater of Saturday soup on any given day.
Lots to take from that game, but Salah's reaction at full time pretty much sums up how I feel about this season.

I'm happy that Son Heung-Min is happy.

The atmosphere has been flat all the 2nd half, conceding didn't even lift it but Trent coming on was the trigger for people finding their voice?

Embarrassing.

Klopp and Slot need to do a duet at the parade

Got the most points
Won the most games
Scored the most goals
Got the highest XG
Created the most big chances
Missed the most big chances
Kept the most clean sheets
Conceded the 2nd fewest goals
Conceded the lowest XG
Lost the fewest games

Liverpool are the best team in the country by a mile 🏆

Absolutely tired of the psychodrama of one country being the problem of the entire planet.

An important thing to point out about the economic shit show that we're watching unfold under Trump's watch.

He told everyone he was going to go heavy on tariffs.

Nobody, not voters, leaders of countries, business leaders or the media gets to act surprised.

The dumbest thing about Labour's strategy is that they've been bending over backwards to get the likes of the Mail and Telegraph on side, but they will never give them any credit.

So they're alienating their core vote base for nothing.

They're finished.
Can't remember a statement by a Chancellor that has gone down as badly, as quickly, and with almost all parts of the political spectrum, as this one

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been at Liverpool since he was 6.

He's probably achieved everything at Liverpool he ever dreamed of.

I'd much prefer him to stay, but I fully understand him wanting a new experience and challenge.

Life is short and football careers are even shorter.

Inviting a journalist into a group chat where you're discussing an actual war would be too on the nose for a comedy sketch, which is why it's befitting of a Trump administration.

Just watched the Pottery Throwdown final...

Credit to Slot, his subs were really good.

Curtis getting on wasn't surprising but entrusting Endo, Elliott and Darwin in such a crucial game feels significant.

Allison was unreal.

Trent was brilliant without the ball.

Darwin was great when he came on and Elliott came in clutch.

That was serious graft, now to put PSG in the washing machine at Anfield.

That was a throwback European away knockout performance.

I felt like I should have been watching it on ITV with Brian Moore on commentary.

I'm convinced Salah's been studying the records on wiki of some players and competitions.

Here are some significant records he could break or match by the end of this season🧵

Great result.

We were either awful at retaining possession or extremely slick in building out and making chances.

There was no in between.

And with that said, 2-0 feels a bit underwhelming.
February 23, 2025 at 6:43 PM
Also it's funny how Liverpool have been diabolical at basic corners all season, so just decide to do one of the cleverest routines you'll see instead.
February 23, 2025 at 5:33 PM
2-0 at half time, you can't really complain...except I'll forever hold a grudge against Trent for not picking out Szoboszlai with a pass after that sequence of play that started from Konate.

Weve looked shaky at points and then unbelievable moments later.
February 23, 2025 at 5:23 PM
As I keep saying, everyone needs to relax.

We're still on course for a 90 point season and Arsenal will do really well to hit 85.
February 22, 2025 at 5:06 PM
INEOS have shafted Amorim.

Utd might have hit rock bottom with ETH, but at least Amorim would have been able to come in next season and say "You were really bad, but it's different now".

That's a million miles from him having to say "WE were really bad".

Mohamed Salah. The first player in Premier League history to score and assist in 10 different games in one season.

The first player to achieve that particular feat in one of Europe’s top-five leagues since Lionel Messi in 2014-15 for Barcelona (11).

Talk about esteemed company.
February 19, 2025 at 10:06 PM
In the disappointment of the result, Mo Salah once again underlining that he's a comically good footballer isn't getting enough attention.

I don't know what to even say about him at this point, he's a joke.

Liverpool's 19/20 season has fried people's brains.

Liverpool won 25 of their first 26, it can't be exaggerated how freakish that is.

Winning a league title isn't supposed to be a procession, some games are hard.
