On a more personal note, this is my favorite chapter from my PhD thesis and I’m so glad it's finally published. It was such a joy to be able to bring my outside-of-science interest in photography/image processing to my research. (4/4)

Our mapping of Titania’s surface reveals a more extensive fracture network, proposed new multi-ring impact basin, and catenae. Our findings suggest the missing large craters in Titania's crater population does not require cryovolcanic resurfacing.

We applied modern image reprocessing techniques to Voyager data to take a less-blurry look at Titania. Here’s a little before and after from our proof of concept for Jupiter’s moon Ganymede, where we have the benefit of more recent images to compare with:
