I was going to be over of those photographers, but I ditched last minute when I saw the downgrade. Not worth it to freeze for a chance to see a barely faint glow.

Been checking on the status all evening and it looks like the last of the CMEs that they predicted was going to set the auroras off even stronger than yesterday turned out to be not that strong. Yesterday was a G4 storm, today peaked a G3 around 7PM CST and has been weakening since.

Bummer too. :/

Overall amazing trip! Went off-roading in the Jeep, hiking, yummy camp fire cooking, and just overall relaxing and enjoying the rest away from city life. The only bad thing about the trip was the swarms of ladybugs during the evening.

I'm still finding them crawling in the Jeep. XD

Took my telescope with and was able to get some amazing shots of the cosmos! The moon was nearly full, so the shine was hard to avoid, but what I did capture was amazing!

We couldn't have picked a more perfect time to get away! The leave were just starting to really turn colors and the weather was perfect!

We brought Jax. He wanted to do nothing but lay in the sun and beg for jerky.

First day at the cabin. Wake up to Silent Hill, end up with breath taking view.

Aww man! I had no idea you moved! :C
