If you think reading lyrics is the same as listening to the song, I don’t even know what to say. Seriously. They are still two entirely different things. I can read music, it’s not the same as hearing music, just stop.

I do not disagree (although I haven’t really experienced it firsthand) but I think calling it “reading” does a disservice to that cause. If more people call it what it is, it becomes normalized.

I usually check out one book at a time digitally, since I usually only read one at a time and I don’t want to hoard them away from other readers if I’m not actively reading them yet. Would it actually be better for my library for me to go ahead and borrow it but then immediately return it?
