I haven't read Orbital, and doubt I will, but this piece sums up my thoughts on James pretty well. Particularly: "a shell of a book like an outline Everett didn’t bother to fill in."

I often hear @gameovergreggy.bsky.social talk about how as fans of content we often enjoy things quietly.

A lot of the feedback creators receive can be quite negative, and this can really weigh on them/us.

I agree with him, that we should share what we love more, to help drown that out.
