Ah, gotcha. I was in high school when Michael Tait joined Newsboys and was a fan of Newsboys when Peter Furler was in it, and that all happened in the 2000s, so if you’ve been out since the 90s, that makes sense.

Peter Furler is cousins with the music artist SIA, not Asia, silly auto correct, haha!

I’m genuinely surprised you didn’t know that! (That’s not an insult, I promise.) That’s why it was such a big deal, him joining Newsboys when Peter Furler left (fun fact- Peter is cousins with Asia!). DC Talk, Newsboys, God’s Not Dead… he did a lot… also apparently more unsavory things too.

My husband’s default taste in music is classical, and mine is… anything but country, haha, so when we share music with each other, it’s certainly something!
