I also started building a box of Drop Pods; going to mount them on 40mm bases for some rigidty and ease of painting. Real fiddly build these things.

It used to be very silly, with a massive cannon mounted on the back! I'm glad to see at some point sense prevailed and it's now a laser haha

Adding more tactical marines for #HobbyStreak day 293, including a detachment leader with medicae, which finishes the two sprues of infantry.
I've still got some speeders to build from the Fast Attack box, but even so, it's looking like a pretty decent army by 28mm standards 😆

I have been hobbying for far too long for it not to be embarrassing that I only just realised this, but...
If you want to paint bits on the sprue (6mm minis!) and the sprue is an annoying shape, just snip the bits off with a piece of sprue attached and glue them to a larger section of sprue

Didn't make it through the whole sprue, but I did get this tiny set of chonky marines painted up in between painting a bunch of grey circles other shades of grey
