I like the plain link blocks because
- it lets me have entries from multiple databases in the same list
- i can actually get directly to the pages from the sidebar when i unroll the toggle for the bookmarks page

The stuff directly in the sidebar is the stuff I use multiple times a day, and the second-tier is more once a day/few times a week pages.
