This is absolutely stupid. Schumer did the right thing! Donald Trump wants the government to be shut down so he can dismantle it. If they had allowed a shutdown Trump would never have reopened it. We would have no government left.

He did the right thing. Under normal circumstances they should have shut the government down but Trump is trying to dismantle the government and has no incentive to reopen it. A shut down would have given Trump and Musk the opportunity to do whatever they wanted unopposed.

Keep in mind we are olderish.. he is a veteran of the Gulf War and the Somalian conflict but he is a true patriot and (when I say that I don't mean the MAGAT definition) believes in the oath of God Country Corps. He truly believes it would never happen.

My husband is a Marine Corp veteran. We talked about this & with tears in his eyes told me no way anyone in the military, especially not the Marines, would turn their weapons on American citizens.

The judges he appointed helped him. The high court stacked with right wing judges ruled he had immunity for official acts. Judge Cannon questioned the special prosecutor's validity, dismissed the case. It was refiled, but they drug thier feet until he was elected and he made it go away. All BS.
