Oh yeah haha I was more thinking about the avg fandom perception- a lot of fic casts Jean in a pitch-black light- which I've enjoyed!- but confirmation of his idealism is lowkey vindicating lol idk how else to say it but the guy always struck me as a paladin type |D Agree re: cynicism of the writers

Not sure about Luiga's tweets but I've been told that Dora Klindžić (DE writer) has confirmed the screenshots to be from design docs for the would-be sequel 👀
(And yeah I'm also torn.. it's a much less wholesome verison of Trant and a much less cynical characterization of Jean which is fascinating)
