What excites me the most is how well thought through the consequences of transhumanism are in the wiki. I am excited about the prospect of enhancing human ability through augmentation, although my interests lie more in the field of alien implants and the like than in technological modifications.

My family all read for pleasure. I don't read fiction much any more, preferring books on spirituality and aliens, but occasionally a nice book falls into my lap. I've been enjoying the Orion's Arm universe project lately, which is online, but my mum's getting me some science books formy birthday!

If you haven't read The Psychedelic Experience, please do. It's a great exploration of preparation for death using primarily LSD but also other psychedelic substances that induce the bardo state. There is another manual called The American Book of the Dead for use with isolation/floatation tanks.
