I mean, do I even need to say anything? You get to play as a silly little peacock spider on a quest to save her boyfriend from a bowerbird. It's just a very cute game, and I like it.

9) Backpack Hero
I'm not the biggest fan of inventory management tacked on to other games, but an inventory management roguelike deckbuilder? Now that's something I can get behind.

Come to think of it, maybe I just like roguelite/likes. Regardless, Backpack hero is always fun to come back to.

8) Pseudoregalia
While I've not played many 3D platformers, I've got to imagine that Pseudoregalia would rank pretty highly in its genre. This game makes good use of all of the movement tech it provides you, while still having an open enough design scheme to encourage experimentation to find skips.

7) Peglin
Yes, it's a Peggle roguelite.
With all the features you'd expect from a good roguelite, combined with the humor, unique gameplay for the genre, and some real good boss design, Peglin is a game that I've constantly returned to since I got it in early access around 2 years ago.

6) Baldur's Gate 3
All I can say about BG3 has already been said, but I can't leave it out, so I'm putting it on here as my last big title for at least the next few posts.

5) World of Warcraft
Another game I've been playing since I was 6 (and played with my dad for nearly 8 years) WoW holds a very dear place in my heart. More than any other, this game represents the good times of my childhood and the healthy parts of my relationship with my dad lol

4) Risk of Rain 2
Despite being objectively the most hectic game in this list so far (we'll see what I add later) it's the most relaxing game for me, just because of how well designed everything feels. Sure, I dislike some of Gearbox's additions, but it's definitely still in my top 10.

3) God of War (the new ones)
Having first played a God of War game at the (far too) young age of ~6, I grew up on the original trilogy and loved it. I believe, however, that while the scale was toned down in the newer games, the quality of nearly every aspect far surpassed that of the originals.

2) Hollow Knight
Everything from the gameplay to the lore to the amazing soundtrack earns this game a very high spot in my top 10.

1) Bloodborne

If you know me, you know I love SoulsBorne games, and I'm so glad this was my first. I could give BB its own thread, but to keep it in one skeet, I'll keep it simple.
From start to end, BB met and surpassed my expectations and probably set my expectations for the genre a bit too high.
