Richmond Public Schools and the Laborer’s International Union of North America reached terms on a collective bargaining agreement that includes reinstating five bus drivers who were fired on April 25.

Update: It is now said that the fire began at Daily Menu Restaurant on Main Street. Adjacent businesses were also affected and three residents were displaced.

Richmond Interim Fire Chief Jeffrey Segal said it will take until the late evening to put the fire completely out.

Much of the smoke has cleared at street level, but some is still coming out the top of a building.

A spokesperson for Richmond Fire said the Shockoe Bottom fire started at Miyabi Sushi.
