Honestly one of the most scary films I ever watched. The bit in the tunnel with the lights! Bloody hell.
They could do with a Remake:)

They have trained really hard, had millions of pounds thrown at them and are now the best in Europe, and nearly as good as my local men’s Sunday league team…

Yes this is the most sensible option. Or even online application or via a British embassy anywhere in the world.
Only problem is what do you do with the failed ones? For all its failings Rwanda would have dealt with that
July 11, 2025 at 8:23 AM
It has, and it does appear to:) which is good, but it’s so limited that it won’t really be effective in detecting crossings. And also it doesn’t say how this new route will work.
Also shipping the failed ones back to France just means they will try again, until they run out of money.

So from what we are told,
This does provide a legal route to apply for asylum in the uk for the first time (via France-if you have family) - not sure how this works.
But for
Very very limited numbers.
It won’t deter the boats, and it won’t reduce numbers (1 in 1 out)

I will say this for his comment, the military operation was very impressive. Precision dropping of a high tech 13 ton bomb with a 7k round trip, totally undetected. I would agree very skilled pilots
But how can they accurately say it’s done the job without going down the tunnel and looking?

“Nobody spins it like trump and everyone says so, he is the best at spinning, everyone is lining up to spin bullshit like trump - they say “how does he do it?” Well let me tell you no one does it better”

I have no problem with the mad mullahs being deposed. And the ability to create a nuke eliminated.
The problem I have is with after
The USA ran away from Afghanistan and its virtually the same as before now. Iraq isn’t a shining beacon of hope either. Rebuilding takes decades
June 23, 2025 at 12:38 PM
Also could you imagine richard tice as the chancellor? Terrifying
June 12, 2025 at 2:39 PM
I would tend to agree, it’s a gamble.
But it’s I think a fairly sensible one, invest in infrastructure in the hope it will start to attract business and boost productivity.
She has been left with a country on fire, every area bled dry by Tory’s.
To not gamble is in itself a risk…
June 12, 2025 at 2:39 PM
Nope, he will return as Tory leader. He has already said as much. But for now he has “returned to his plow”
I just hope labour can do what they set out otherwise that could be a threat. I’m hoping for Tory extinction and libs to be opposition next parliament

Borris would be great to have a pint with, he’s a funny guy.
As a politician, he is part of a cohort including Diane abbot, Nigel farage, richard tice and Micheal gove who should never really have got into politics, and should be ignored on anything serious
May 21, 2025 at 7:53 AM
Boris was an opportunistic power hungry fool. All mouth an no trouser.
The real villains were osbourne and Cameron. Without austerity there would have been no brexit. They were smart, knew what they were doing, and had no excuse.

A more appropriate sentence may be hefty community service working with asylum seekers.

A balance has to be struck between free speech and consequences of free speech. Sadly there are too many idiots now that would actually act on this, and so “hurty words” can actually cause physical damage.
May 21, 2025 at 7:47 AM
It’s an interesting question.
At the time strong action was needed to stop riots, and send a message, but would I rather see a shoplifter or a keyboard warrior in prison with limited places? Shoplifter any day of the week.
A hefty community service possibly working with this community would seem..

Exactly

In fairness your station together with other major news outlets has to bear some of the responsibility for giving so much free airtime to these facist whackos.
If you had given more to the Lib Dem’s for example I think you would have seen a different result.
“He who shouts loudest..”
May 2, 2025 at 9:14 AM
Hey mark, your old buddies in the uk would love to chat too:).
We just need to see if we can extract anything from the orange toddler first
May 2, 2025 at 9:10 AM
Gammons been voting to stop immigration by electing people who have the power to re organise the rubbish collection schedule…

Still it’s good in a way because in 3 years time when nothing has changed in those councils the reform company may fade into obscurity..
May 2, 2025 at 7:23 AM
He was a good president. (Afghanistan aside) he did well on almost every other area. It’s a shame we had trump 1/clintons trial he would have been a great follow from Obama

True he is getting a bit long in the tooth now, but I’d have him 1000x over the orange toddler.
You guys need a new leader
April 16, 2025 at 8:00 AM
Hahahaha
Perhaps he will create a “seed oil enforcement” or “department of homeopathy” or “bureau of chiropractors” with some of the jobs taken from tobacco enforcement?

“You sell your nhs to us, allow us to sell you cheap chloronated chicken scrap your net zero agenda an buy only our oil and gas and in return we will reduce the tariffs we imposed 2 weeks ago from 10- 5%.
If you don’t agree we will say you eat cats on toast” - JD Vance 😉
