There were many valid reasons to dislike Vanessa or Jenny on Gossip Girl, but it cannot be denied that both of them were character assassinated.
Vanessa in particular was set up to be hated. She should’ve been there from jump and went to their school. But they used her to complicate Dan & Serena.

(Also I loved Phoebe DOWN in s1-s2. I hate the way she was written by 4-. And obvi Alyssa was mad gorg and could act. She also had the best comedic timing w/ her sitcom experience. But they made her INSUFFERABLE, imo. “You were never good” and all the other B.S.)
