I get the joke. But still, the cup is a lie.

This happened because Viv established Helluva Boss to end after season 4, while she was working on it, and didn't have any time to polish up the plans and the necessary development needed to make the story feel natural. It was rushed because the development happened quickly.
That is the problem.

It would've been better if the story didn't rush the character development and let Fizzarolli and Blitzo's relationship develop gradually, with them becoming frenemies at the end of Oops, normally enemies in their lives, but friends when they need to, before eventually reconciling soon.

I mean, they didn't give the character any time to breathe, let alone develop before he could reconcile with Blitzo. I mean, it was his third appearance and they just did it. It's annoying because literally the next episode begins with a flashback that could've helped develop more about him.

Well, there's a lot that I can say, but I would say that Fizzarolli and Blitzo reconciling in Oops is an example of just how bad the pacing and character development can be.

Fizzarolli was established as an ex-friend now enemy character towards Blitzo and then 3 episodes later, back being friends.

Well, you are the architect of these shows, and you deserve the credit along with everyone that helped you. 😇
