I'm so mad. How did we let the bullies run things? Since when is a pants on fire liar anywhere near the White House? How many criminals will get pardoned before people realize it's a mistake to let this progress? Furious.

I've been tracking NIH research via their emails and websites for a long time...and today for the first time I was banned from reading an article about an advance in the detection of aggressive breast cancer. Sad day.

Johnson's body language shows the shame he is feeling as he continues to assist the Republicans in destroying our democratic processes. The house passed, it but the senate can stop it: Tell your senators to reject the stupid save act: act.commoncause.org/petitions/te...

Hi friends. I'm back in Oregon, after landing late on the 18th and being in a semi-vegetative state for most of the 19th. During my 2 months in TN I auctioned off the contents of my father's house, then emptied and cleaned it for sale. And took care of endless family crises. Resting now.

My dad's house is empty but for my grandmother's dining room table & chairs, this recliner, our sleeping palette and some kitchen stuff. The carpets have been ripped out revealing hardwood. Soon this house will be for sale. Friends showed up and worked like dogs to get me here. Thank you.

All the whining and complaining about what Trump's "team" is doing doesn't help. We need to update our voting systems with open primaries and ranked choice voting. We need more than two parties. These changes won't be supported by either party. Citizenship is more than partisanship.

Doing body shots in the Grand Canyon in the 1990s... At the time this photo didn't seem particularly hot but now it does. Friends forever!

When I flew out of PDX a couple weeks ago, I got a north-facing window seat so I could see the Cascades. Four volcanoes in this shot!

I'm currently reading A River Lost: the Life and Death of the Columbia River by Blaine Harden. It's mind-blowing history. The Grand Coulee Dam changed everything! What river reads can you recommend?

Whitewater paddlers have a super tight community, and the interactions of the crew matter so much for our safety on the water. My closest friends are all from the river... But you go ahead, do the ocean, it and the people you find there are also amazing.
