The seeds of Nationalism have always been woven through our culture. It underlies this headline from 100 years ago today about support for the League of Nations. It reduces to “we don’t trust or want anyone else’s opinions.”

Is this a conundrum or an enigma? Seems the R’s deep state, 1,500 miles apart, are trying to both deny Missouri a ballot initiative to block a new district map, while in Calif they are suing to keep a new map *off* the ballot!
