I appreciate the level of hating in that this is literally incomprehensible to me

I get the arguments from Irish fans about this one, but ND athletic dept gleefully killed the Michigan rivalry 10 years ago to play a “national schedule.”

Now it’s M playing CA teams every year while ND has lost its two biggest rivalries because of an Indy commitment that does nothing for fans

It makes sense for Michigan to give him more chances. This coaching market is not good, and the last few Harbaugh classes were bad (yes coaching has contributed too)

But do I still wish we’d gotten DeBoer when Harbaugh left? Yeah.

Yeah, it’s unfortunate ND has cancelled those rivals as well.

I agree USC is a more classic series (though ND-Michigan I think a more intense one for ND fans), but ND has also prioritized ACC relationship and non-con games with OSU, Texas, etc. over rivalries.

To be fair ND did this a few years ago with the Michigan series, citing their ACC schedule

They feasted on a cake schedule. Didn’t even look that great against Michigan.

Yeah definitely sounds like we’ll hit portal but no reason not to have him compete for the job in camp if he’s ready, unless we need to promise job to a guy like Moss
