Many! The unnamed boy and girl silently traversing a large empty city and ancient ruins is very ICO, and there are moments of the score that I feel must have inspired the music of Shadow of the Colossus. A gigantic spiral staircase tower also really reminded me of SotC. I highly recommend it.

Going to be thinking about this film
for months. As a huge Fumito Ueda fan it was like seeing the genesis of his aesthetics. Not to mention the aesthetics of FromSoft, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and much more.

First time seeing it, brilliant.

This entire sequence was actually really funny and endearing in a way I wasn’t expecting. It felt like playing a Pokémon movie!
