Please ask about the big slow band of extremely heavy rain moving north in the Strait. That thing looks terrifying if it hits Welly head on. If it does look like it's going to hit it might even be worth emergency txts to people in the region. 😨

So looking back at some old discussions on the ferries from December I'm happy to report I pretty much called it. Two Aratere sized rail ferries that reuse as much of the current landside stuff as possible. This was the only option to make the new cost come under the previous one. 🤦 #nzpol
