It’s been almost a decade since I last set foot in a recording studio — but I’m delighted to say that I’ve reunited with my long-time producer and very good friend Biff Roxby at WR Audio to finally start making some new music! 🎶

From the sewers to the swing 🚇🎻

Part 2 of "The Jolly Tosher" brings a new feel — same tune, different flavour. Rehearsed here with Kai Carter (guitar), Joe Mansfield (fiddle) and yours truly (mandolin) all weaving together

Victorian sewers meet Irish swing 🚇🍀

Here’s a clip from an instrumental section of Part 1 of "The Jolly Tosher "— a song I wrote, inspired by Victorian sewer hunters in London 🚇💡

This melody carries a touch of Irish flavour, played on mandolin, guitar, & fiddle 🎶 With Kai Carter and Joe Mansfield

Just a little behind-the-scenes from our most recent rehearsal 🎶

Before going into the studio to record some new music in a couple of weeks, I've been preparing the new material with Joe Mansfield and Kai Carter. 🎻🎸✨

Another clip from a guitar one here. Back into good ol' standard tuning and the key of C for one more brand new song. This one's called "I Was Not Dwelling in Darkness". Nice chilled one for your relaxing Sunday!

Rehearsed for the first time with Kai Carter and Joe Mansfield on Friday 19th

Hope your Thursday has been going well! Here's another new song snippet, rehearsed for the first time with Kai Carter and Joe Mansfield on Friday 19th

I sing the lyrics "meandering foraging beavers" and "woody debris" in this brand new song. Why? It's called "River Revived" - and is about river restoration. Our rivers here in Blighty could definitely do with some of this!

Fragment from a three part instrumental medley I wrote called the "Manchester Martyrs Medley". This from the middle of the three tunes, titled "Michael Larkin". Rehearsed for the first time on Friday

Snippet from another new song/tune I wrote, rehearsed with Kai Carter and Joe Mansfield for the first time on Friday. This is a mandolin one called "The Jolly Tosher".

"The jolly what?", I hear you ask... Toshers were sewer hunters in London during the Victorian era. This song is about them!

Another brand new song I wrote, "Eternal Slumber", rehearsed with Joe Mansfield and Kai Carter for the first time on Friday 19th. This one on mandolin. Little clip here!

Rehearsed some brand new songs together with Joe Mansfield and Kai Carter for the first time on Friday 19th. Here's a little clip from the first of this bunch - an arrangement (with reimagined lyrics) I came up with for old-time tune "Down in the Willow Garden".
