as soon as it gets cold, mousies try and set up shop in my 101 yr old house. Gumby saw one this am, and chased it not just under, but into the chair. By the time I get home going to find a dead mouse and a dissected chair. lol He’s an obsessive mouser. Good Boy! I can always get another old chair.

had some excitement this am…this sparrow followed me into the house and it was all I could do to keep Gumby from trashing the place trying to get it. Finally caught it with help of a towel and released it back outside. My birdies love me 🤓

My chaos garden patch is starting to bloom, and despite many packets of zinnia, there are no zinnias at all. It’s 90% ugly baby’s breath which I’ve despised my whole life😭 there are more types that haven’t flowered yet so I hold out hope for some color: so far: Fivespot, and tiny yellow poppies

Tiny volunteers in the middle of the yard, the first blooms of Spring. Love this time of year, all us gardeners here in Michigan are in a high state of anticipation and are preparing furiously. So much fun. Treated myself to new loppers yesterday.
