I haven't played many VNs, but The Silver Case is truly a very special game. The game has such a cool and unique vibe to it. Everything from the music, presentation and artstyle is very well done. If you liked the deep philosophical storytelling in Killer7, then I think you're going to Like TSC.

As someone who grew up playing Revolver, it took me awhile to learn to appreciate RDR1/2 because of the reason you mentioned. While I loved playing RDR1/2, both games can be such a chore to play.
