We have a flock of these birds in the Houston area. They're not indigenous to the area as far as I know, so I believe they must have escaped from someone and have been thriving out in the wild. Species undetermined.

I've heard and read the term bullrush (Bible/Moses) but never conflated them with our common name cattails. I love learning something everyday.

Because winter here in SE Texas is usually limited to one or two days in early February I only have this one picture of a fluffed up bird. I really love the hostile stare I got from this bird.

I think it is even on a more shallow level. They see him as the protector of their fragile status of superiority. They're ignorant but realize they can't actually complete on their own without an edge.

It's not like men read or pay attention to profiles. Ask women, especially lesbians how many times a cis man has hit on them after being told. Some of them actually believe their penises containt an elixir that combats lesbianism and asexuality.

The integrity of the Republican Party didn't evaporate suddenly. My father was a John Bircher in the 50s. They aligned themselves with the Rs and started the degrading of ethics and morals of the Party. Too many Klan members in the Birchers.
