“Separation of Church and State” - I don’t think you know what that means. Like humanists and atheists the people of every faith actually can and will hold their elected officials accountable for their actions and lack of actions.

The theme of making room in our hearts for Christ continues from Christmas as we meditate on his appearance in Bethlehem and his potential to dwell in our hearts today. The Epiphany is an opportunity to allow God’s light to shine in our hearts like a bright star.

René Magritte’s The Treachery of Images (Ceci n’est pas une pipe) reminds us: representation is not reality. It challenges how symbols shape and obscure understanding, urging us to look beyond appearances. #Magritte #TheTreacheryOfImages #ArtAndFaith

During the pandemic Bishop Andrew Ramsey spoke of going to ground as a metaphor for deep spiritual connectedness of body and world and God. Here is the deepest crypt, table, first church-chapel, below Mont San Michele. It reminded me of a different yet similar idea of going to ground.

Harrow Lord
Harrow Lord
Harrow my soul

Harrow Lord
the Hell I’m in,
Grab my hand
And Take me home
To the promised Land

Harrow Lord
Harrow Lord
Harrow my soul

Harrow the dead
Harrow the lost
Harrow the addicted
rescue the sin sick
Regardless of the cost

Harrow Lord
Harrow Lord
Harrow my soul
