For all its corporate stodginess, Dallas has a much better transit system, a stronger urban design/pedestrian accessibility in its core neighborhoods, and a more diversified economy. It's cool if someone has different priorities, though.

Oh, snap! Lol.

All this being said, if someone put a gun to my head and told me I had to uproot and spend the rest of my life in either Dallas or Houston, Dallas would win hands-down.

You post about it once per year?

I grew up in south Arlington and Mansfield and led a more Fort Worth-oriented childhood, and have since moved to Oklahoma City after starting my career in Austin. People who think Dallas or Houston aren't Texas are ridiculous. People who pointlessly belittle Oklahoma are also ridiculous.

You mean 250 miles, Chief?

Downtown Houston is a whopping 10 miles farther from the Sabine River than Downtown Dallas is from the Red River.

Always fun to beat any team employing Aaron Rodgers, even when he's not playing.

Fun fact: Rodgers attended my law school graduation. He was dating Olivia Munn at the time, and Munn's sister was one of my classmates.

20 years later, and I only this year learned that Postal Service's "Such Great Heights" and Death Cab's "Tiny Vessels" were written about the same person/relationship.

Federal Reserve’s inflation calculator shows $5 in 1994 is worth $10.84 in 2025. Even $10.84 doesn’t seem that expensive, frankly.

Jesus. (1) This guy shouldn't be removed. (2) If he is to be removed, what's the government's rationale for not sending him to Costa Rica, which has agreed to accept him and where he's agreed to go if ordered removed?

Tonight, I spent some quality time with Gabriel Pares before rummaging through my library to find my old lounge music books. A good time was had practicing.

From MLB's announcement: "Fans will have the ability to purchase these subscriptions either independently, as part of a bundle with MLB.TV, or as part of a package with ESPN’s app." At least it sounds like we won't have to get the whole ESPN subscription and then tack on an additional MLB package.

Geez, what a crock. These days, CAIR is more grounded than the ADL.
