More importantly, $5 is not wealth, even in the 3rd world. Billionaires routinely "airdrop themselves" into 3rd world countries with actual wealth on-hand, and we call that colonizing

"Just be glad you don't understand" is such a clear nonsequitur to dodge an awkward moment of introspection

If anything is changed, it will surely be crafted specifically to disarm people perceived to be on the left, not to actually halt violence.

It does illustrate how sometimes extreme values end up looping back around to understandable ones though. My favorite example - electrons moving through a wire in an electrical circuit are moving at roughly 1ft/hr. Actually comprehensible slow!

Addendum - the mere _existence_ of LGBTQ people is categorized as "sexual" by these bad actors. It's _all_ games involving _any_ kind of queerness that are at stake.

The quoted specs from the local computer guy seem to mostly be a CPU upgrade? So this would immediately validate if that makes sense or not.
August 6, 2025 at 4:33 AM
If Process Explorer shows super-high usage of the CPU or GPU, then your bottleneck is there. Otherwise, it could be something in the memory sticks or SSD that's unruly, and that'd take a bit more effort to identify.
August 6, 2025 at 4:33 AM
Those are really strong specs, this warrants a little more scrutiny before shelling out for new hardware. My first step would be running a "high load" activity in whatever software and seeing how it behaves in process explorer: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysint...

Trans people account for a full 1% of the population.

But it doesn't matter, you failed the reading assignment in any case.

Yeah, I agree. I guess maybe my flinch is as much about beauty standards as the genes behind them
July 27, 2025 at 3:27 PM
Well I quoted "good" because everyone's "good" is subjective, yeah.

I think once you're ascribing value to genes, either consciously subjectively or "objectively", it's creating an environment that will proportionally value some lives (and some children!) more than others.
July 27, 2025 at 3:18 PM
Hmm can't argue with that.

I guess everyone (myself included apparently) is primed to think that the preconditions of evil are evil already
July 27, 2025 at 2:24 PM
IMO eugenics is that 1) there are "good" traits and 2) those traits are genetically deterministic

I don't think you necessarily need to want to steer the pool, it's enough just to have those 2 morally reductive preconditions
