This will be a great opportunity to make $ for those who have the capital to invest and the time to wait for the next bull market. Unfortunately for others, this carnage will destroy lives. The sad part is, like other times of market carnage, it was unnecessary.

Unfortunately, I agree, but I would add that not only will Trump come out on top, but in the end, his oligarch buddies will reap the rewards. I see this as all part of the plan to crash the global economy so his billionaire buddies, who will funnel $ to him, can cheaply grow their fortunes.

It proves that there is little to no input from them, and they are merely there to take the fall if their master's actions fail.

Within all of us, there is the ability to engage in reasonable and respectful discourse; we just need to be open to hearing the positions of others, leading to deeper understanding. Unfortunately, some choose not to do so.

I suspect they will be going on the most significant buying spree since possibly the COVID-19 crash, as planned.
Fortunately, I anticipated the carnage and used options to protect positions and profit, some of the profits donated to charities that will help those who will be hurt by Trump's chaos.

The way things are going and what various markets are saying, I'd say those percentages are on the low side.
Note that a recession or even increased chatter of 1 is what Elon/Trump want. This will create demand 4 US treasuries, which will infuse $ into the govt to cover the insane spending.

Her husband hasn't been active lately, but he hit home runs with his option trades on 1/14. Perhaps he's not getting as much insider info.

There are many, many more yet to leave. It'll be difficult to get them back even with a rational and sane president unless Congress's dysfunction can be overcome and future guarantees put in place to ensure this never happens here again; it's highly unlikely.
