And I'm not even touching the problem that is EE.

MGS3 felt more like an apology than it actually was; that game cohesively had its shit together and was overall on point. But MGS4 was him slipping back into his old ways. In the end, I feel like the less hype he's given, the better the outcome.

-And see a broken environment in the form of Big Shell, an omnipresent "so when do I REALLY get to start playing???" disrespectful, stalling pace to the game at large, all b/c he thought the message was more important than making a game that had fun mechanics, but is overall a chore to get through.

MGS2. That's all I need to say. But I'll say more anyway; dude had this (subjectively) great idea/statement about how the oncoming digital age can be duplicitous. And how does he employ this idea?

Raiden.

The rug pull and the reactions were HIDEOUS. While the gameplay was stellar, I look at MGS2-

Kojima has great ideas. Lots. But they are also WILD, CHAOTIC AND INSANE ideas. I'm not really in a position to criticize, but I think -he- thinks exploring his ideas are more worthwhile than respecting his audiences' and their patience. And he doesn't respect women if Meryl is anyone to go by.

He's been using a metaphorical potato cannon made of PVC pipes to launch ideas out into the ocean to see which one makes the biggest splash, & asspulls for Ocelot really seem to make the BIGGEST splashes, since he can't exactly do (much) of that to Snake himself. Though there's a deeper issue...

Kojima was, IIRC, low man on the fire pole at Konami when he started out and nobody expected him to knock one out of the park with any of the Metal gear games.

Simply put, I think once he started getting into "WHO'S GONNA TELL ME NO?! THE JANITOR??? BWAHAWAHAHA!" territory, we got shit like this.

At least an animated show could, make, like 3-4 different stock footage sequences that could shake up things if you didn't overuse a given one too much.

There was a *children's show* that got axed and never went past a pilot animatic where the main badguy was a CEO were-lion or something (the heroine being a high school werewolf) that I'd rather see get a chance to shine than this.

Would it help if someone else said they were glad, not mad, for your existence?

Please take care of yourself.

I’m writing a serial novel project about a blind metal head girl who just wants to go to a music festival, but the van she was in breaks down next to a totally not mysterious and magical forest, I swear.
