For a bit of context of my rainbows pic, I was hiking in the Gros Ventre river drainage and got the 1st pic. Heard multiple loud lightening strikes to my south. Get a call out from CERT. I'm really close. I'm 1st on scene and got the next 2 pics.
A verdant green scene with both Aspen trees and grasses. There is a small flow of water mid-frame. In an alcove of the trees is a momma moise eating the trees. Baby moose is giving me serious side-eye. This was a zoomed in shot. I respect the safe distance by 2x at least.

How's this? From the May CME.
A red and green aurora with total horizon coverage. The red dominated with pillars of green. The aurora are a backdrop to the Cathedral Group of the Tetons, with them still dressed in snow. This was from the solar storm in May 2024.

You could say that. I get to see the top of Grand Teton walking to my car on clear days. I used to work in Grand Teton Park, so if it was clear, I always saw it.

And the same day I found this beautiful monster of a moth also passed away. We had rain the night before and a freshly tar sealed parking lot. Basically poisoned. 😭😭
A large brown moth with patterns like wood grain from a beautiful tree. It has two eye spot at the front edge of its wings, about halfway from the wingtip to the body. The wing span is a bit over 3 inches or 80 millimeters.

I really need to clean my wounds from KIckball on Friday. 2nd play of the game. Oh, they hurt so bad. I feel several times. Cleaning them again is going to suck.and now I have to figure out moving around at work tomorrow.

I don't remember if I posted this here. It's just an odd Pic I took last week because I didn't realize a regular metal conduit and a 'rigid' metal conduit, DO NOT use the same metal straps!
A circular construct made using metal clips. The clips have a larger curve and a flat piece that comes off 1 side. They are arranged with the flat piece toward the center of the so it makes a structure that looks like an abstract flower.
