It's been 25ish years. It's rock solid now and there is *no way* this is coming off my ear in my normal way.

How, the ever living fuck, can I get this thing off?! Btw, it's supposedly a diamond stud, but I have no idea if it really is. I'd like to save the stone. H E L P.

So I grabbed one of those gummy plastic cone ones from a cheap earring and shoved it onto the screw part of the earring.
Success!
Never moved. Never fell. No threat, no fuss, solution found!

I have never been able to take it off since.
