The expression, the framing, the atmosphere. They all speak to a gruesome fate but it's also unmistakingly Displacer beast, so it's DnD, which gives me, as the viewer, hope that she can survive. That she has a trick or a spell or a really good dice roll up her sleeve. It's a compelling piece.

This is why you get Misty Step!

What a great piece. I love it.

I always assume bots on Twitter and Facebook. But I have seen dumber people, don't get me wrong.

I'm looking at making my own soon. Any advice?

The things is the only groups that will accept him are dying out IRL. He only has pull on X because of it being X. And maybe on Facebook. I have literally never seen a guy like him on any gaming store ever.

You should give it a shot if you ever get an itch for good sci-fi stories. The Legendary edition is a good steal on sales :D

Shame, since the movie is a fun (if not superb) watch. It is what it is.

That's a different argument, but I agree. Though, to be fair, GW would be grinding down the 3D printing creators more if they could. There's a line where they can't really argue the designs aren't original. A metal box is a metal box.

I agree in principle, but reality is not so simple. Anyone making proxies for 40k will, inevitably, make (C)SM adjecent sculpts. These sculpts must have a certain aesthetic to be desirable to buyers. That's the paperthin line between "inspired by" and "plagiarism." You either copy something or fail.
October 10, 2025 at 1:44 PM
I'm not sure what you're asking me. I'm not a fan of copying IP, but I'm even less of a fan of defending the company and clowning people for making a living off of a hobby. See attached comment.

This isn't a new sentiment. It bleeds into 3D print hate, and it's not healthy for the community at all.
October 10, 2025 at 1:26 PM
That's what a lot of these creators do. It's the most popular franchise so it's not surprising. And he's been doing it for years. Since 2020 at least iirc. What exactly changed that he's only now getting copyright struck?
October 10, 2025 at 1:11 PM
There's plenty of it in WH communities IRL, on reddit and the hell site.

There's plenty of bias even in the comments here. Subtext isn't hard.

My point is: how does it affect anyone at all? Who cares? Some rando is making WH proxies and fighting copyright? There's no story here,it's just clowning.

Ghamak's designs are not interesting to me. If I want an Impulsor, I'll buy some in plastic and not buy his derivation.

However, I'm really not understanding the hate towards 3D printing. Like, in general.

I won't even mention defending a multi-million dollar company.

Who gives a shit?

Mordheim and WH Fantasy. Though nowadays I enjoy Burrows and Badgers more. :D
