And inside the train, it can reach even higher! Between Chicago and Grand, I measured up to 99.7dB. This was on 2600 series car 2819.

The @chicagocta.bsky.social Blue Line subway is dangerously loud, reaching 95dB on the platform at Chicago/Milwaukee. 90dB is where hearing damage can start.
