Bjork can't be 60 years old because I'm still the same dopey 18 year old kid who just discovered The Sugarcubes like, yesterday.

I was today years old when I realized that Major Eaton from RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK ('Top. Men...') is the same actor who played Jek Porkins in STAR WARS.

Also, Lucas put one fat dude in the entire movie and called him 'Porkins' hahahaha

Hey indie electronic nerds, if you've worked with a label in the last 5 or 6 years and you have positive things to say about the experience, I'd love to hear about it. I have a whole bunch of new music ready to go and I'm kicking the tires on who I might want to work with on this.

Throwback to 2019 when I scored a short film about robots and death and other stuff.

Props to the landscaping crew across the street who have a superhuman ability to wait to fire up the leaf blower until the moment I am hitting 'record' in Pro Tools. Jesus, it's like they're watching me.

Sad to think that none of these kids ever went on to do anything great.

The theme to the original Knight Rider still hits HARD. You can’t play it loud enough.

I bought a whole system of closet organizers because surely I need that only to find out nothing in my house really needed to be 'organized' any further drinks on me guys I beat life

Oliver Coates score for AFTERSUN is still one of most brilliant things I have heard in a very long time. Pitch perfect in almost every way.

I just watched the film again last night (I swear I'm ok), and the score so perfectly compliments the film's particular flavor of emotional devastation.

God help me, I've decided to spend the afternoon updating plugins and software in the studio.

I may be switching from coffee to whiskey several hours early.

I've had the theme to ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK stuck in my head for over a week now. I guess I'll consider this my own little manifestation of how frustrating it is to be an American in 2025.

I know God has a sense of humor because I can bite into two identical looking jalapeño peppers and one of them will taste like juicy fruit while the other has alien xenomorph blood inside of it.

I have lost count of the number of times I was convinced I had suffered a serious injury playing sports only to find out it was a quirk of the way I was sitting in the studio. An inch here, a millimeter there, a single degree difference in the angle of some part of my body, and everything changes.

Let's be honest here - the fact that I can't reliably say 'hey google, AM I SEX-YOU-WAA-ULL?' and Google just knows to say 'YEAAA-AAAH' right back is really the great failing of generative AI.

Having a bad day? Just walk around and narrate every little thing you're doing in your best David Lynch voice. It won't cure disease or make your mother love you, but it will help illustrate just how silly and ephemeral a whole lot of daily life really is, and it's guaranteed to make you smile.

The unfussy nature of the production of 'Somebody I Used To Know' has always been what really made it work for me, but you almost have to hear the vocals isolated before you can truly appreciate how brilliant the arrangement is in the last third of the tune.

We love to spout little pearls of wisdom about the romance of the creative process & learning to find beauty in the mysterious nature of it all, but (sigh)... Sometimes the process is just a cold, unfeeling dickhole who doesn't care about you at all and is going to fight you every step of the way.

Today seems like a good day to remember that Timothée Chalamet is low key *hilarious* in DON'T LOOK UP, and probably the best part of an otherwise extremely weird film that largely didn't work for me, aside from his turn.

The 'fingerling potatoes' line delivery is an all timer.

Maybe it's because it's Google and they know more about me than I know about myself, but the recommendation algo at YouTube Music is light years beyond where Spotify & Apple were at the last time I used either.

Artist radio is better, continuous play is better, similar artists is better...

I'm hearing what sounds like a lot of Pre-Millennium Tension era Tricky influence in modern electronic music lately, and given the state of things, I am perfectly fine with that.

Hell, let's just revive mid 90s UK electronic across the board if it makes everyone feel better - I like drugs too.
