I cannot believe this game is so cheap. If you have a PSP you should own this because it advances on the formula so well and you should play it.
And also because it feels more like Ghouls ‘n Ghosts and less like Super because that game isn’t great.

Daaamn the first Tomb Raider is just as good as I remembered from having it on the Saturn when it was new, and being able to play it on a physical cartridge on a plane is aces
Never noticed before but imagine if Fade to Black had similarly good mechanics? Now THAT would have been a Flashback sequel

Random game Saturday! Parodius for the Sega Saturn! Until watching Pandamonium’s review I had no idea this never came out in North America. What a shame!

21st game finished of 2025, Paprium for the Mega Drive, played on the Mega SG via the Mega EverDrive Pro! Wanted to play this for years. Worth the wait? This is better than most games in this genre because there are tons, and most are bad. But I enjoyed my time with it! Wish it were more accessible.

What video game ignited your passion for gaming? (GIFs only)
Wonder Boy was the first game I ever played (and my first tattoo!) when I was 4 years old (I got the tattoo later.) It set the scene of so much of video games for me.
I’ve played and loved every game in the series. We need more!

Missed #RandomGameSaturday this time but my lovely family just gave me this for Father’s Day so I’m gonna post it anyway! I got rid of it when I purged all of my games and stuff a decade+ ago so it’s nice to have it back in the collection 😊

20th game finished of 2025, Doom: The Dark Ages! What an amazing game. The Platinum Trophy popped just as I finished it 😊 Highly recommended!

VERY excited about this! I haven’t really played Y0 since submitting our final patch for it… 7+ years ago? Wild. So surreal to be playing it in English! Surprised it doesn’t have a few more QoL features but Save Anywhere is nice (was always bummed we didn’t manage to fit that in officially…)

They fixed Pod Racer! The port of the game by @lab42games.bsky.social was one of the very few Switch game announced as not working on Switch 2 - but it does! We had some theories about why but didn’t know for certain. It runs and looks great! Thanks whoever fixed the issue, I guess 😊
