Generations is way better than people remember. Partly it's unpopularity is because people didn't like some of the choices the writers made.
First Contact on the other hand is a by the numbers zombie flick with a few comic turns and not as good as people remember. The rest can be avoided.

Back in the 80s mist if not all of the Trek fanzines thati read were edited by women. Most of the Pocket/Titan original novels were written by women. Bjo Trimble is credited for being a leader in the letter writing campaign that help get TOS renewed for a third season.

I would go as far as to say that unless you follow a specific team in the first Bundesliga then you'll find the second Bundesliga more engaging with more interesting clubs.
