I could never quite put it in words the way you've done so now, but I always ended up making any "resolutions" about being better to myself or taking better care of myself. New year's always feels like I just came out of a beating, and what you wrote makes that feeling make sense

I guess it depends on your definition of productive. I stopped thinking as habits that didn't that produce work as "unproductive," since I've learned how important rest is for my productivity. I use the power of habit to stop myself from anxiously staring ahead instead of enjoying my downtime
