Today NY Governor Kathy Hochul signed a bill that protects NYS workers’ unionizing rights if federal law becomes ineffective. Great news! More states should pass trigger laws like this.

Earlier this month, I finally met someone I've long admired: @ajchegustavo.bsky.social‬ co-founder of Los Deliveristas Unidos. They've won important victories in NYC, including a minimum pay standard for delivery workers. He & other worker champions were honored by ‪@workersjusticep.bsky.social‬. 🔥

A good first step is for state/local government to meet with unions at length & develop partnerships w/ them.
Many thanks to everyone who offered feedback on earlier drafts & to everyone who's been working on these issues for months & years. Finally, here's a QR code to the report. (9/9)

Always inspired by @manhattanda.bsky.social Alvin Bragg! Glad to co-host a fundraiser for him last night, and also loved having a mini-reunion of NY AG alums. We had a great team & everyone's still doing amazing work serving the public/fighting for justice in different ways. This crew gives me hope!

At an ABA continuing legal education course. We are learning about legal ethics rules about confidential government information. Demoralizing how the rules that apply to all of us & that respect our privacy are being thrown out the window for Musk et al.

I am really working hard to find every small bit of beauty. The rainbow of cream cheese in my local bagel shop filled me with awe this morning. As the flood approaches, hoping we can save at least two of each kind of bagel.
