My most exciting #TenMinMerlin yet (recorded yesterday)! Super bummed I did not spot the Northern Parula but Merlin was not deceiving me. I heard it's distinctive trilling/chirp! off and on for about 15 minutes.

Stoked to see Gray Catbirds again! Love hearing their little meows.

I don't trust the American Pipit sound ID. However, happy to see the Purple Martins have returned! #TenMinMerlin

We moved into our house back in December. I have known since moving in that there was a nature trail in the park that is a few minutes walk from us. Finally mustered the gumption to go check it out. It is my new favorite place in my little part of Ohio. #TenMinMerlin

Since Merlin got me thinking about Herons today, here is a photo I took last year of a Great Blue that impaled a Bluegill with its bill.

I have seen a ton of Great Blues while birding. This may be the first time I've had Merlin report hearing one. Alternatively, there is a possibility Merlin thinks my 4 year old is a Heron. #TenMinMerlin
