Wow, I thought Trisha Estabrooks would fare better - I really liked her work on the school board, but the Liberals ran an intense campaign.

Generally agree, but bird flu isn't the USA's fault - biologists have been watching it in migratory birds for a few years. Their agriculture sector has really suffered, and I suspect ours will this year as well :-(

Canadians have known the ups and downs of America before. There's a reason why most of us can quote the living next to an elephant line :-) We have to be flexible and clever. More unerving is the shifting sands of the entire world order; your line about repelling MAGA here is an important call.

It seems a bit extreme to say Canadians have been radicalized. The most radical thing I've heard is someone put hockey sticks with googly eyes at the border :-)
