I really still like that first season because it was about pretty grounded stuff beside the sci-fi stuff: growing pains, economic disparity between friends' families. Long-term consequences from careless decisions. The family drama was good, I thought.

Why is virtue signaling even a crime, though. Why is it so terrible to try to demonstrate to society that you're a good and kind person? Are people just insecure that the rest of us aren't as selfish and monstrous as them?
